Our Children's Groups
BABIES AND TODDLERS
Crèche
A comfortable space for babies and very young toddlers where parents and carers can stay with them throughout the service.
AGES 4-7
Smaller Kids (KS1)
Fun, active sessions filled with Bible stories, crafts, games and singing to help younger children discover God’s love.
AGES 7-11
Older Kids (KS2)
Interactive Bible-based sessions for primary school aged children, including discussion, activities and prayer.
A great place for children
We want children to encounter the love of God and have a great time at church!
Our children’s groups run every Sunday morning during the main service. Parents can engage in worship, knowing their children are in safe, caring and fun hands. All workers are DBS checked.
We provide a comfortable crèche for parents and carers to stay with their babies and young toddlers.
While the little ones enjoy our selection of toys, adults can have a tea or coffee and make use of the available microwave.
A live stream of the main service is provided in the room to allow you to keep engaging with the rest of the church.
Children can join Kids Church once they are four years old and attending school.
We are commited to ‘Bringing up children that know and love God by themselves with roots that go deep in Him and branches that reach out to bless the world around them’.
The vision for our children is taken from Genesis 18: 18-19:
“For Abraham will certainly become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth will be blessed through him. I have singled him out so that he will direct his sons and their families to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just. Then I will do for Abraham all that I have promised.”
Each session will have a bible themed focus and the children will participate in games, activities, songs and stories to enable them to engage with the theme. During the session the children will be provided with drinks (water / squash) and a snack (e.g. fruit, veg, breadsticks, biscuits).
If your child has any food allergies please ensure the teachers are made aware and, where reasonable, that the child knows to mention it.
Registration happens in the foyer. At the registration desk you will be given a numbered wristband. This number is recorded next to your child/children and will need to be handed in when you collect your child at the end of church
Registration is from 10.20am-10.40 am. Collection time is 12 noon.
Please note, only adults with the relevant wristband are allowed to collect children.
God gave us a picture of a ‘prophetic wall’ to show and declare what He has spoken over the children.
In the Younger Kids room you will see an amazing painting of a tree with roots that go deep into Jesus (can you see Jesus’ name in the roots?) a trunk that shows Him as the Lion and the Lamb, branches that reach up and out to bless the world and leaves that have our children’s names as we trust God that wherever life takes them He will keep them rooted in Him.
Child Safeguarding
The safety and wellbeing of every child in our care is our absolute priority. All of our children’s leaders and workers are DBS checked and trained in safeguarding. We operate in line with our comprehensive Child Safeguarding Policy.
